Terms
These cover the website. They do not cover working together — that is a signed agreement, and it says what it says.

01Who you are dealing with
This site is published by DayLight Creative Technologies, LLC, of Tyler, Texas. When it says "I", that is Steven Day. When it says "we", that is the two of us who run the company.
02What is on this site, and what it is worth
The pages here describe how I work and what I have built. They are written to be accurate and I correct them when they stop being accurate, but nothing on this site is advice for your specific situation, and reading it does not make me your consultant. Advice comes after I have looked at your business, and it comes with my name on it.
03Case studies and client confidentiality
The engagements described in the work section are real. The clients are deliberately not named, quoted, or identified, and figures are published only where I could verify them from a system I had access to. Where a client has told me something good in conversation but not in writing, it is not on this site. That rule protects them now and would protect you later.
04Sending me a message
Use the contact form for what it is for. Do not send confidential information, credentials, or anything sensitive through it — it is an ordinary email path, not a secure channel. Once we are working together we will set up something appropriate.
Sending a message does not commit either of us to anything. An engagement starts when there is a written agreement, not before.
05Ownership
The words, photography, code and design on this site belong to DayLight Creative Technologies. Quote a passage and link back if it is useful to you — that is fine and I would rather you did than not. Republishing a page wholesale as your own is not.
The open-source tools published under the DayLight name carry their own licences, and those licences govern them, not this page.
06Availability
This is a small company's website. It may go down, and I do not promise otherwise. Nothing here is guaranteed to remain available at the same address forever, although I do try to keep old links working when things move.
07Governing law
Texas law governs this site and anything arising from it. Engagement agreements say what they say and take precedence over this page in every case.
08Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. There is no notification list, because there is no list.
